Adults who smoke
ImprovingWhat it means: adults aged 18 and over who say they currently smoke cigarettes, from the largest UK household survey. The dashed line marks the ambition, first set in 2019, for England to be smokefree by 2030, meaning 5% or fewer adults smoking; the Tobacco and Vapes Bill aims to stop anyone born after 2008 ever being able to buy tobacco. Vaping is not counted. A change of half a point or more counts.
