Show chart and details

Target: cut early deaths from heart disease and stroke by 25% within a decade, taken here as 55.7 per 100,000 by 2035. Starting from 74.3 in 2024, the straight path needed 72.6 by now.

What it means: deaths before the age of 75 from heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular disease, adjusted for the age of the population so years can be compared. The target comes from the 10 Year Health Plan (July 2025). It is stated as cutting deaths, so this card uses the death rate, starting from 2024, the last full year before the plan. A falling line is good.
