What it means: appointments booked at GP practices in England, in person, by phone or online, divided by the number of patients registered. The rest are with nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and other staff working in practices. Covid vaccinations are left out. These statistics are still being developed and cover almost all practices; earlier years are not comparable, so the series starts in 2021-22. Shown for context.
