What it means: the share of schools whose most recent Ofsted inspection judged them good or outstanding overall. Ofsted stopped giving a single overall grade in September 2024, so August 2024 is the last figure and it will not be updated. Since November 2025 schools get report cards that grade several areas separately; by March 2026 only about 900 schools (4%) had one, too few to represent all schools. In those, the share at "expected standard" or better ranged from 70% for achievement to 95% for personal development. This card will switch to the new measure once enough schools have been inspected. Shown for context with no rating.
