Target: end the use of B&Bs for families beyond six weeks by the end of this parliament (taken here as Jul 2029). Starting from 1,200 in Dec 2025, the straight path needed 1,116.28 by now.

What it means: councils must not house families with children in bed and breakfast accommodation for more than six weeks, except in emergencies. This counts families over that limit on the last day of each quarter in England. The target is in the National Plan to End Homelessness (December 2025).
