Overnight trips by purpose

What it means: trips of at least one night away from home within England, Scotland and Wales, from the Great Britain Tourism Survey. Visiting friends and family is the most common reason, then holidays. Day trips are counted separately and are not included. The survey changed method in 2022, so only recent years can be compared, and a long-run series is not shown. Shown for context.
