What it means: everything the UK sells to other countries, from cars and medicines to financial and legal services. The chart removes the effect of price changes so years can be compared. Services make up over half of UK exports. A previous government aimed for £1 trillion of exports a year by 2030; the 2025 Trade Strategy does not repeat it, so no target is shown. A change of 2% or more counts.
